Early Childhood Resources

  1. Great video about Behavior 101. The golden rule of behavior YES-DO-GO ( tell children what you want them to do), is one of the many examples showed on the video that we can put them in action for a room free of disciplinary/behavior problems.

The golden rule (a great title for this) is what we really train on with the centers we work with here in Ms. I explain that telling children what you want them to do instead of what you don't want takes practice and you must be consistent. I enjoyed the video, but have a question. Do you have to use the "thinking chair" a lot? Just curious.

  4. No I do not. There is one student that the thinking chair just does not work for her. She always thinking of something else to get into. She is so intelligent for her age so I just give her puzzles to work on.
